Isn't it a surprise that not a single Democrat made the list? (insert sarcasm here) Want to know the source? Go to http://www.crp.org, the Center for Responsive Politics, a non-partisan, non-profit group out of DC. Find all sorts of information, from the % of donors giving $2000 or more (or less), to members of Congress spreading their donations to other potential candidates. 4 out of 20 Dems made the Top Donor list, while only one Dem made the Top 20 Recipient list for the last election (2004). Pretty sobering stuff. Is there any wonder Campaign Finance needs to be a top priority (but will never truly happen)? Why would either party give up lucrative funds? What they don't spend themselves, they can share, or...keep.
